MYO – Northern Lights

Presented by Melbourne Youth Orchestra
Details
Join us for Northern Lights, Melbourne Youth Orchestras’ first concert of 2022.
About the concert
Opening with a work both brooding and triumphant, Sibelius’ Symphony No.1 demonstrates the essence of why audiences love Finland’s favourite son. Then, superb guest soloist Jessie Gu will shine in Ibert’s dazzling Flute Concerto, with the concert closing with Borodin’s intoxicating Polovtsian Dances, one of the great orchestral showpieces.
