PGYO – Orchestral Fantasy

Russian Fantasy Image.png

Presented by Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra

In Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra’s first concert of 2022, venture into pure bliss in Orchestral Fantasy.

Rimsky-Korsakov transports us to the Mediterranean for Capriccio Espagnol, followed by Carmen Suite No.1 from Bizet’s quintessential work. Along with a flurry of brass from Saint-Saëns’ March Militaire Francaise and the exploration of the brilliance of Borodin on sections from Symphony No.2 in B Minor, Orchestral Fantasy is a delightful snapshot of Europe.
