Penny Quartet has gained a reputation as a driven and multifaceted voice in Australian chamber music. Founded in early 2014, the group brings a vibrant approach to their performances across the country.

The Centre’s series of Relaxed Performances are specifically suited for audiences with sensory sensitivities, using altered lighting, more in-depth musical explanations and accompanying access resources.
The Relaxed Performance series is supported by the William Buckland Foundation and the Calvert-Jones Foundation.

Babes in Arms
The Centre’s Babes in Arms policy applies to all Music Play events, except for Song Play. Babies under the age of one may attend free of charge and be admitted without a ticket, on the condition that they do not occupy a seat and sit on the lap of a parent or guardian. All children over one years of age must have a ticket. This is in line with Melbourne Recital Centre’s COVIDSafe Plan.
