Phia with Melbourne Indie Voices

Phia Jeff Andersen

Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre & Phia

Phia and her acclaimed choir Melbourne Indie Voices.

About the artists

Phia is a songwriter, composer and founder and artistic director of Melbourne Indie Voices. Known for her genre-defying, live looping shows and masterful use of the African kalimba, her multi-layered music breeds a kind of euphoria.

About the concert

Launching her second album in Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, Phia will bring together her two musical worlds – joyous choral harmonies and live looping – in a wholly imaginative and unique way.

This new body of work is the culmination of a period of artistic and personal growth where Phia was able to carve a new space in Melbourne’s musical landscape upon arriving home from Berlin in 2016.

Joined by her acclaimed choir Melbourne Indie voices, their performance will echo profound honesty, creating a sound that is harmonically distinctive and rich.
