About the concert
When New York wunderkind George Gershwin died age 38, he left a body of work that reimagined the boundaries of jazz and classical music. Monique’s performance in Primrose Potter Salon will showcase Monique’s versatile and virtuosic artistry, filtering 1920’s era pop songs through a 21st century lens with effortless creativity.
Their performance will present works by Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller and George Gershwin; sharing Gershwin gossip and culminating in the iconic Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano.
