Tara Minton

Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre & Hancock Artists

Crossing the boundaries of jazz and chamber music.

About the artists

Tara Minton is a harpist, vocalist and songwriter based in London. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Tara is one of the few harpists in recent times to make a significant impression on the UK Jazz scene. A strikingly rare entwinement of harp and voice, very few walk away from a performance feeling untouched.

About the concert

Together with Owen Downie, the pair present a stunning program of duets arranged for harp, voice and double bass. Crossing the boundaries of jazz and chamber music, traversing pieces from Henri Mancini to The Beatles. The duo explores the subtle, and beautiful relationship between harp and double bass.
