To launch the day’s celebrations, The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus will open with Tchaikovsky’s a cappella choral work, Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, Op. 41.

Followed by a performance of his Sérénade mélancolique Op.26 and rounding out the 70-minute morning concert an astounding performance of the Album for the Young Op.39 by pianist Timothy Young.
