The War and Treaty

Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre

Revival-like intensity, profound honesty and transfixing musicality.

The War and Treaty have amassed a following as eclectic as their sound itself. The category defying duo traverses Southern soul, blues, gospel, country, folk and rock and roll with joyful fusion and an exhilarating energy. The husband-and-wife team have an emotional back story, but their deep affection shines like a beacon in troubled times. Their incredible voices paired with their natural flair for storytelling manifests in shows with near revival-like intensity and a profound honesty that permeates the room.

Following their Australian live debut at Bluesfest 2019, where they were crowned the discovery act of the year, The War and Treaty are finally performing their first show in Elisabeth Murdoch Hall. A performance of gospel-style harmonising, powerful sentiment and transfixing musicality not to be missed.
