Cat Power Postpones Australian Tour

Melbourne Recital Centre and Feel Presents are sad to advise that Cat Power (aka Chan Marshall) has been forced to postpone her forthcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand due to illness.

Unfortunately the concerts on 8 and 9 February at Melbourne Recital Centre have had to be cancelled – but we hope only temporarily.

Cat Power (aka Chan Marshall) suffers from Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) a potentially fatal rare blood disease. It’s the same condition which caused her to postpone some European dates in 2012 – all of which were rescheduled.

The promoter (Feel Presents) has assured us that Chan is committed to returning to Australia once she is in better health. All tickets for this tour will remain valid for the rescheduled dates which will be advised shortly and we ask that you please hold onto your tickets while the Centre makes every effort to reschedule the concerts.

If you have any questions or queries, please email our Ticketing Services team or call 03 9699 3333 during business hours.

We apologise for the inconvenience and send Chan Marshall our best wishes for a full recovery.
