Veteran Performing Artist Showcase

A showcase of multidisciplinary works performed by established Veteran Artists.

Presented by the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum, this performance evening officially launches the Festival of Veterans Arts 2026 (FOVA26). Hosted in the Primrose Potter Salon at Melbourne Recital Centre, the event brings together Veteran Performing Artists working across contemporary and classical music, theatre, spoken word, experimental sound and choral performance.

FOVA is a national festival dedicated to amplifying the creative practices of the Veteran Community and expanding public understanding of veteran cultural contribution. This opening event introduces the theme of FOVA26, CURIOSITY, through a curated two-act program that highlights imagination, inquiry and lived experience.

Each performance is framed by short on-stage conversations, offering insight into the Veteran Artists’ practices, their connections to the Veteran Community, and the role curiosity plays in shaping their work. The event is open to the general public, veterans, families and arts audiences, and sets the tone for the FOVA26 program to follow.
