Iconoclastic pianist Piotr Anderszewski brings his intelligence, restless curiosity and joy to piano repertoire from Schubert, Brahms and Bach.

Everything about Piotr Anderszewski is extraordinary: his virtuosity, originality, and constant questioning as a performer. The Polish-Hungarian concert pianist brings restless curiosity to everything he does, whether performing, recording, composing, or even directing films. He can zoom in on the tiniest detail while revealing the grand architecture of each work.

For his first recital tour of Australia in over a decade this unconventional hero of the keyboard plays Schubert, Brahms and Bach. Schubert's Piano Sonata in C minor is one of his late works, written in his final months and published posthumously, a grand edifice for a life cut short. Brahms' late intermezzi and fantasias are, by contrast, enigmatic and intimate works from a composer whose greatest love was music itself.

And then, Bach. After a lifetime immersed in his work, including three award-winning recording projects, Anderszewski reveals a new spectrum of nuance and expression.
