Accelerando
The Accelerando Program provides an opportunity for exceptional young artists to take their music to the next level. A tailored learning program, passionate students with an advanced musical ability on solo instrument or voice will undertake a year-long program working in collaboration with Australia’s premier music facility.
Competitions
As part of out Exceptional Young Artists program, the Centre offers a range of opportunities to support and inspire the next generation of talented musicians, including annual competitions that showcase tomorrow’s music leaders on the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall stage.
Professional Master Classes
Join some of the world’s finest musicians for a revelatory master class and discover more about the music you love. Melbourne Recital Centre’s Master Class program provides essential artistic development opportunities that benefit young Australian artists and offer insights and learning for patrons as well.
Free Music in the Salon
Melbourne Recital Centre opens the doors of its intimate Salon on one Monday each month from March to December for FREE open rehearsals featuring the very best of Melbourne’s chamber musicians.
Making Waves
Presented in partnership with Virtual School Victoria, the Making Waves program consists of live interactive compositional workshops, digital resources and a showcase concert at Melbourne Recital Centre for budding young composers.
