Presented by Affinity Quartet
A Listening Air and Mexico Tour Farewell

Affinity Quartet launch their new album before embarking on their Mexico Tour.
Celebrate Australian Music Month with the Affinity Quartet in a special concert launching their landmark album, A Listening Air. Recorded at Melbourne Recital Centre and released globally by Da Vinci Publishing, this album is a first for an Australian ensemble on this major classical label. Featuring works by Brett Dean, Peter Sculthorpe, Alice Chance, Thomas Misson, and three works premièred by Affinity Quartet, A Listening Air is a compelling portrait of contemporary Australian composition. Its release coincides with the quartet’s Mexico Tour during the 60th Anniversary of Australia–Mexico Diplomatic Relations, introducing Australian music to new global audiences.
As a not-for-profit Melbourne based organisation, Affinity Quartet is dedicated to championing new Australian works, supporting emerging artists and bringing chamber music to communities in Australia and around the world.
