Longtime collaborators Sean Riley and Royal Drue unite for an intimate concert celebrating both their individual artistry and the creative relationship they’ve built for more than a decade. Taking over The Beacon for back-to-back solo sets, they’ll share their own songs, stories and influences, offering a window into two artists who have shaped and inspired one another along the way.

Experience their songwriting at its most direct, personal, and powerful. Both are masters of their craft and seeing them perform in this stripped-back setting is to hear the duo at their best – up close, unfiltered, and together.

Please note, online ticket sales for events in The Beacon close 2.5 hours before the performance. After this time, tickets can be booked by calling the MRC Box Office or visiting us in person, pending availability.

The Peter & Ruth McMullin Beacon offers a variety of seating options. Please select your preferred seating type when booking. Our Visitor Experience team will do their best to seat your party together within your selected seating type. Smaller groups may be seated alongside other ticket holders, and for sold-out performances, parties who booked later may need to be split across the remaining available seats.

Tables – Standard dining tables seating 2–4 people.
High Tables – Bar-height tables with stools seating 3–4 people.
Lounge – Curved banquette lounge seating for up to 4 people around a shared table.

About the artists

After a decade in the professional music scene as a touring session musician and awarded songwriter, Sean Riley is stepping out as a fully realised solo artist. Inspired by folk-pop singer-songwriters like Charlie Hickey, Jake Minch, and Theo Kandel (with a heavy injection of The 1975), Sean’s sound is marked by powerhouse layered vocals and candid coming-of-age storytelling. After teaming up with Forest Creek Records and producer James McGuffie, Sean Riley’s debut EP 'I Don't Wanna Hear About Your New Boyfriend' was released in July 2026.

Naarm-based pop artist Royal Drue has garnered an impressive list of achievements in her decade-long career in the Australian music scene. Penning Triple J number ones, supporting Aussie favourite Baker Boy and UK Pop Artist Caity Baser, and receiving several nominations and awards from the international songwriter comps 'American Songwriter', 'ISC' and 'Unsigned Only'. Drue has amassed hundreds of thousands of streams independently, both with her 2022 EP 'Play with Me' and her subsequent singles. Heralded for powerhouse vocals, captivating lyrics, and an electric stage presence, Drue represents the future of pop.
