You would be hard-pressed to find two more inspiring, outspoken, and provocative figures in Australian music than Ben Lee and Georgia Maq. Both charting their own unique paths in an industry that too often rewards conformity and predictability, they have formed a deep bond over the years as friends, collaborators, rabble-rousers, and mutual enablers. Now, for the first time, they join forces for the ‘Two Most Annoying People You Love’ 2026 Tour.

Performing a two-hour show, both will be on stage the entire time, backing each other up, harmonising, performing deep cuts, bold covers, as well as each other's classic tunes.

Neither an artist to rest on their laurels, Ben and Georgia will also be road-testing new material from their forthcoming recorded projects, offering audiences a once-in-a-lifetime experience of witnessing two great Australian songwriters at the peak of their powers, revelling in their friendship, their love of music, and the power of a great song.

About the Artists

As the leader of Naarm / Melbourne’s DIY punk trio Camp Cope, singer, and guitarist Georgia Maq became something of a local hero, calling out music industry sexism over fearsome indie rock salvos while garnering widespread international acclaim. The band’s second album, How to Socialise and Make Friends (2018), was described by Pitchfork as 'a mix of folk-rock intimacy, punk incision, and loud emo catharsis,' and featured heavily on year-end best-of lists around the world.

In late 2019, Maq surprised everyone by releasing her solo debut, Pleaser, a refreshingly bright and catchy missive of electro-pop tunes about heartbreak and love. Describing the album as 'Paul Westerberg meets Robyn,' Maq drew on her punk energy and love of pop artists like Carly Rae Jepsen, Lorde, and Cardi B to craft an immaculate collection of synth-pop bangers.

A true “Journeyman” in Australian music, Ben Lee has done it all: from writing hit anthems and winning ARIAS for songs like 'Catch My Disease' and 'We’re All in this Together', to starring in Aussie indie cinema with The Rage in Placid Lake, to running a weekly cultural podcast Weirder Together with his wife Ione Skye. Along the way, Ben has built a strong reputation for funny and emotional live performances, playing roughly 100 shows a year around the country.

Always open to new creative projects, Ben currently has an animated kids musical tv show in development, and continues to mentor and platform up and coming artists. Through it all, Ben has never stopped his own creative adventures. As he once sang about his life, it may be “confusing…but it never gets dull.”
