Two-time Grammy winner Bryce Dessner, founding member of alt-rock band The National, brings his intrepid compositonal and electric guitar prowess to MRC in a truly unmissable collaboration with musicians from Sydney Symphony Orchestra. The National is only one facet of Dessner's multi-dimensionality. He has ascended to become one of contemporary classical music's most vital voices, creating epic, immersive soundscapes that transcend far beyond traditional boundaries.
Armed with his electric guitar, Dessner leads audiences through his most compelling works: the luminous Aheym, the haunting Lachrimae, the cinematic Impermanence Suite, and the rhythmically intricate Garcia Counterpoint.
