Emily Granger Album Launch

In a world that rarely slows down, A Thing Of Beauty is an invitation to pause.

American-born, Australian-based harpist Emily Granger is one of the country’s most compelling musical voices. Hailed by ABC Classic as a ‘queen of contemporary classical performance,’ her recordings have been praised as ‘beautiful’ (BBC Music Magazine). Performing her latest album, A Thing Of Beauty, Emily marks a return to what matters most in times like these – simplicity, stillness, and unapologetic beauty.

Bringing together music by Australian women composers, including two new commissions and a collection of deeply personal transcriptions, the program traces a path through vulnerability and authenticity. From gentle lullabies to journeys through vivid landscapes, Emily’s warmth as a performer creates an immediate and lasting connection with listeners. Sharing the poetry and stories behind the music, she crafts an intimate concert experience that speaks directly to the heart.

With a commitment to championing women’s work, from composition to visual design, A Thing Of Beauty is a celebration of artistry and an invitation to find calm in a complex and unpredictable world.
