Music by the Springs presents Postcards from Ukraine Album Launch.
A concert of virtuosic folk music from across the world, much of it featured on a brand new album Postcards from Ukraine from the UK based Toccata classics.
Join violinist Markiyan Melnychenko and pianist Stewart Kelly with works for violin and piano from Ukraine, the United States, Bohemia, Ireland and Germany by composers including Brahms, Dvorak, Hubay and Heifetz.
They are joined by Orchestra Victoria Associate Principal clarinet Justin Beere for two trios also steeped in the folk tradition by Arutiunuan and Glick.
You’re invited to a journey around the world that will leave you exhilarated and touched by the universality of music expressing the most important feelings.
