Brìghde Chaimbeul

Ancient Scottish small pipes meet bold new sounds.
Brìghde Chaimbeul plays the Scottish small pipes with a stillness that draws the whole room in. Raised on the Isle of Skye, with Gaelic as her first language, she holds the old tunes close while letting them drift somewhere new: long, humming drones swell and settle around melodies that feel centuries old and strangely modern.
Softer and more intimate than the Highland bagpipes you might expect, the small pipes encourage listeners to lean in closely. Threaded through with Gaelic folklore, the music leads audiences across imagined landscapes of story and song. Just metres from the stage, you’ll feel it gather around you, slow, hypnotic and quietly powerful.
