Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre and Kristian Chong
Rachmaninoff with Piers Lane and Kristian Chong

Join two renowned pianists as they perform masterworks by Rachmaninoff and Schubert.
Australia's most prolific pianist Piers Lane returns to Melbourne for a one-off performance of Rachmaninoff's evocative Symphonic Dances for Two Pianos with his former student, friend and colleague, Kristian Chong.
Experience the gripping drama and compelling narrative in these three dances, which encapsulate the full spectrum of human emotion brilliantly realised for two pianos. The duo also performs Schubert's iconic and beautiful Fantasie for Four Hands, one of the highlights of the repertoire with its stormy, impassioned, and cerebral character.
