Lest We Forget: Music and poetry for ANZAC Day

An evening of connecting us to our ANZAC poets and musicians.

Join Shauna Beesley and friends for an evening of music and poetry written for, by and about our ANZACS. This concert features the Australian première of Shauna Beesley’s song cycle Lest We Forget, sung by dynamic baritone Nicholas Beecher, with the composer at the piano. Also on the program is the glorious soprano, Lisette Bolton and eminent voice actor Tim Dehn, who will read texts and poems relating to WW1 and WW2.

Discover the works of forgotten ANZAC composers Willie B. Manson and F.S. Kelly, whose songs will be sung alongside equally beautiful works by their French counterparts – Hahn, Debussy, Poulenc. Lest We Forget is a concert event not to be missed, seamlessly blending art and remembrance at this important time in our calendar.

All money raised from this concert will go to the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project.
