Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre and Omega Ensemble
Truth Seekers, Lovers, and Warriors
A powerful and joyous close to the 2027 season.
Omega Ensemble’s season finale welcomes ARIA Award-winning oud virtuoso Joseph Tawadros, alongside long-time collaborator James Tawadros, in a celebration of cross-cultural dialogue and shared traditions.
Experience a captivating program that traverses Middle Eastern musical traditions and contemporary chamber brilliance as Tawadros’ distinctive compositional voice, kinetic vitality, and virtuosic energy fill Elizabeth Murdoch Hall like never before. Anchored by a major new work created especially for the Ensemble and the oud, this commission reinforces Omega Ensemble’s ongoing commitment to creating ambitious, living Australian repertoire.
Culminating in the triumphant Truth Seekers, Lovers and Warriors, the program brings Omega’s 2027 season of Risk & Radiance to a resounding close.
