The Radiohead Project

Radiohead reimagined through a jazz lens.
Led by acclaimed jazz vocalist Amelia Evans, Melbourne ensemble The Radiohead Project transforms the music for a jazz quartet. Taking inspiration from Radiohead’s radically deconstructed approach to composition and performance, the band explores Radiohead’s affinity for jazz, performing works from iconic records such as OK Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac. For fans, this promises to be a dreamy, intimate take on imaginative works listeners have long admired.
The Radiohead Project debuted to a sold-out audience at Melbourne Recital Centre in 2022 and has since become an established presence in Melbourne’s live music scene, performing at venues including Paris Cat Jazz Club and The Jazzlab. Five years later, and following a string of sold-out shows, the ensemble returns to where it all began to celebrate the launch of its debut album.
Praise for The Radiohead Project
‘Everything she does seems effortless. Evans’ beautifully controlled vibrato never gets in the way of emotional authenticity and she can slip in and out of wordless scats without interfering with the mood of a piece.’ – The Age
