Sevdalinka, A Night of Love Songs

Passionate love songs that will make you fall in love with love.

Soprano Ayşe Göknur Shanal and accordionist Dragan Vujadinovic are joining forces, to present an unforgettable evening of Sevdalinka, with hauntingly beautiful melodies, including Emina, Moj Dilbere, all its rich emotions. They will also share other soulful Balkan music, as well as a few surprises.

Rich with a blend of influences from Ottoman, Slavic, Romani and Sephardic cultures, it is ancient, yet alive, intimate yet powerful.

Sevdalinka is love. It is one of those Balkan musical traditions that hits you straight in the heart - intensely emotional, poetic, and rich with soul. It's often called the 'music of longing'. When you hear it, you know why.

Don't miss this deeply moving night of timeless tradition, which will take you to another place and time, in history.

'When a concert leaves you feeling excited and energised for hours afterwards, you know it was an exceptionally good one.' Len Power
