Following sold-out performances of the Academy Award® winning short film Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers in 2024, Darebin City Brass Preston Band returns to Melbourne Recital Centre for a screening of the acclaimed Aardman film, Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas, with live brass band.

Darebin City Brass is a community-based group of approximately 100 musicians, whose purpose is to provide Brass and Percussion musicians with an organisation that welcomes all levels of ability and background. Committed to enriching the community through the pursuit of musical excellence, they endeavour to serve society through the gift of music.
One of three brass bands of Darebin City Brass, Preston Band was formed in 1934. Acknowledged as one of Australia’s most distinguished A Grade bands, the Preston Band has been awarded the Champion Victorian State A-Grade Brass Band title on nine occasions in recent years (2013-24) and is the current State Champions.
