Tigran Hamasyan: Manifeste

Tigran Hamasyan crosses genre boundaries with rare ease, drawing admiration from jazz devotees and progressive metal fans alike. Widely regarded as one of the most remarkable pianists/composers of his generation, the Armenian virtuoso seamlessly fuses potent jazz improvisation and progressive rock with the rich folkloric music of his homeland.

With a string of acclaimed albums, awards and rapturous receptions at festivals worldwide, Hamasyan returns to the Melbourne International Jazz Festival with his latest release, Manifeste. One of his most expansive and uncompromising works to date, the album draws from Armenian spiritual music and progressive intensity, revealing an astounding emotional range.

Pushing beyond genre and expectation, Manifeste showcases the remarkable breadth of Hamasyan’s musical imagination. Experience it live at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival this October.
