The Symphonic Ensembles Concert marks the first autumn concert series and promises to be a heartwarming evening filled with captivating music. This concert will undoubtedly warm the cockles of your heart as you experience the impressive talents of our students.

Experience award-winning concert bands, string ensembles, and symphony orchestra, each of which brings its unique energy and skill to the stage. Their collective performance will demonstrate the outstanding musical achievements of our student musicians, as well as their dedication and passion.

A special highlight of the evening will be the performance by Year 11 student Campbell Holtham, who has shown exceptional skill and artistry as a violinist. Campbell will be performing the renowned Violin Concerto No. 3 in G, K. 216, a masterpiece composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Salzburg in 1775. Mozart, who was just 19 years old at the time, created this concerto with grace and brilliance, and it remains one of the most beloved violin concertos in the classical repertoire. Campbell will be accompanied by the Wesley College St Kilda Road Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Luke Devonish. His interpretation of this iconic work will surely leave the audience in awe, and we are excited to see such a talented young musician take the stage.

In addition to the performance by Campbell, the concert will feature works by several renowned composers such as Jodie BlackshawPeter TchaikovskyLudwig van Beethoven to name a few.

This concert promises to be an unforgettable evening of music, filled with the warmth of autumn and the promise of great things to come.
