Presented by Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and Australian String Quartet

MCO + ASQ - Kinship

MCO & ASQ unite in Kinship.

Bringing together two of Australia’s finest ensembles, this program celebrates the rich dialogue between string quartet and chamber orchestra.

Moving between intimacy and scale, it reimagines the expressive power of the quartet tradition on a broader canvas, with collaboration, shared musical imagination, and vibrant musical exchange at its heart.

'Bringing together two ensembles that care so deeply about chamber music creates a kind of musical conversation that is both exhilarating and deeply personal.' – Sophie Rowell, MCO

'The ties of friendship run deep between the ASQ and MCO. This rare chance to unite with our MCO comrades will be filled with profound exploration and a whole lot of fun!' – Dale Barltrop, ASQ
