MCO + Cassomenos - Reverie

Stefan Cassomenos returns to MCO.
Experience a richly expressive program centred on Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1 in an intimate arrangement for piano and strings.
Music by Christopher Sainsbury, Liszt and Fanny Mendelssohn surrounds Chopin’s masterpiece, creating an evocative journey through poetry, reflection and passionate musical expression.
'Welcoming Stefan back to MCO is always a delight. He has been part of the orchestra’s story for many years, and I continue to be inspired by the insight, sensitivity and sense of adventure he brings to every performance.' – Sophie Rowell, MCO
'I’m always transported by the poetry in Chopin’s music. It’s a gift to have the chance to revisit his First Piano Concerto in this intimate form, with Melbourne Chamber Orchestra colleagues – magnificent storytellers, with whom I feel such a strong connection.' – Stefan Cassomenos, piano
