Claire Patti is a celebrated and award-winning musician known for her ability to intertwine musical styles and traditions. Her sparkling artistry as a harpist and her sublime voice have an affinity with traditional Celtic music and jazz.

About the concert

It is in this space that she meets the sensitive poignant genius of pianist Tony Gould. Here, the sparkle of Claire’s harp, the ringing of her voice and the gentle, reflective touch of Tony’s fingers on the keys of the piano – enhanced by the yearning soulfulness of Louise Godwin’s cello – create the warp and the weft of this intimate collaboration.

Songs and music have the unique power to make us look backward and invite us the into memories of people and times in our lives or the lives of others. Recognising this power, this concert is grounded in two works of reminiscence, each inspired by loss. These personal tributes of love are embraced by traditional songs and jazz standards, including the Scottish traditional tune of farewell, The Parting Glass.
