Higher Power

Higher Power

Presented by Melbourne Chamber Orchestra

Details

Soul and story; serenity and ecstasy.

Across time and place, composers have been inspired to serve a spiritual vision, and pursue expression that transcends words alone. You don’t need to believe in a higher power to experience it.

We depart with Bach in his relentless quest for perfection in the Brandenburg concertos and find Ross Edwards in one of his most tranquil and contemplative moods for Veni creator spiritus.

Polyphonic Voices join us again for these concerts, inviting you into choral music’s warm embrace. They return to bring us Vivaldi’s soaring Magnificat and Vasks’ dramatic plea for peace, Da pacem, Domine.

Melbourne Chamber Orchestra is a Key Presenting Partner at Melbourne Recital Centre. For more information on the Centre’s Key Presenting Partners see here.
