An evening of unforgettable Australian rock with two of Australia’s much-loved musical icons.

With a career now motoring along in its third unique decade, Tim Rogers’ remarkable resume encompasses the world of music, film, television and stage. As the frontman of You Am I, one of the essential Australian rock n’ roll bands, he has released ten studio albums and performed all over the world.

Tex Perkins has played a key role in Australian music and it’s understandably difficult to pull together a coherent picture of a man whose career has taken in everything from the groundbreaking experimental punktonica of Sydney mid-80s noiseniks Thug to the lilting, dark country of his recent material with the Dark Horses.

About the concert

Their performance in Elisabeth Murdoch Hall brings two of Australia’s much-loved musical icons and raconteurs together for an iconic evening of music. Tim Rogers and Tex Perkins have a long history together, sharing many stages across the years, as well as a mutual love of each other’s work.

Now the old friends are set to reunite in celebration of their new albums, with their respective bands, The Twin Set and The Fat Rubber Band for an evening of unforgettable Australian rock.
