Australian Art Orchestra 30th Anniversary Concert
Presented by Melbourne Recital Centre
Details
Celebrating music made of many influences, exploring meeting points between cultures and disciplines.
In this unmissable birthday celebration, the Australian Art Orchestra (AAO) commemorates both legacy and future with a performance uniting a community of artists who have been part of the ensemble’s story for the past 30 years.
Featuring new and reimagined works built over three decades, witness AAO’s groundbreaking debut performance from 1994, Ringing The Bell Backwards, and premieres by Artistic Director Aaron Choulai and Associate Artist Sofia Carbonara, signalling bold directions for the AAO as it embarks on a new era.
This concert brings together an ensemble of extraordinary musicians across the many iterations of the AAO, including Scott Tinkler, Aviva Endean, and Adrian Sherriff. The evening also features past AAO Artistic Directors Paul Grabowsky AO and Peter Knight.
Generously supported by the Robert Salzer Foundation.
